Need input on estimated value of my max

I am considering selling my '97 SE 5-speed since I am looking to buy a newer max. I wanted to get opinions on what I could sell the car for. It has about 222,000 miles on it. slight body damage to DS door. Also, has all the mods listed in my signature. Sorry no pics yet but still wanted to see what my fellow org members thought. Thanks.

Personally, I would be comfortable paying $2,000ish for it going just by your description, but that's just me.

It all depends on your location. Look at craigslist to get an idea of what similar cars are selling for and adjust (slightly) for your mods.

Maybe $2K if you're lucky. List at $2.5K and get ready for the lowballers.

Your mods are worthless for resale value.
The body damage will also hurt the resale value.

Therefore a 97 with 222,000 on the clock with body damage isn't worth much at all.
It's a 1500 car at best unless you find a fool.

Good luck with the sale.

i had a dealer offer 1,500 for mine, and my mileage is at 228,000 with little to no nicks, and body is straight and everything works. even at my mileage, i just did an inspection and 2 new tires and a ton of stuff and i'd be at 4,000 for my max.

220k miles is a lot.. i'd list it for 2k and won't go below 1600.. more people are buying used cars and the value of used cars are going up. try getting 2k for it.

I think too many people get fixated on the number of miles on a car. A well maintained maxima with over 200k miles is worth far more to me than a abused low mileage car. We all know the original VQ is capable of 300k+ miles if it's treated right.

Mileage is just a scare tactic from the old school days of crappy cars. Almost any newer car can go 2, 3, 400k+ if it's taken care of well...

We as Maxima enthusiast understand that. Uneducated and unfamiliar buyers won't.

But honestly, how likely is it to find a high mileage car that was taken care of properly? A bunch of hooligans out there.

Personally, i wdnt pay more than 2k for tha car. Depending on the options, list the price at $2200 and see what u get.
