Hey guys its your "mate" from down under again.
I was wondering if you guys wanted to share some racing stories, i think it would make an interesting thread......
I'd also like to here about your wildest opponents you've ever come accross.
My wildest race was on a higway between Brisbane and the GOld Coast between me in my stock max versus the WOrlds fastest Impreza WRX. no joke!!!!!!
Offcourse i lost
This WRX has 500hp at the wheels with no NOS! thats pretty impressive for a 4WD car!

 

I have a good story! About a month ago, I raced a BMW 540I and won! My bother has a 535I and his friend (Chris) come over one day, I had just got my 96 my bother and I are out side washing the cars when Chris shows up with this new girl. Chris is the type of person that like to talk S***t anyway tell me I cant believe you bought this slow s***t. I had some friends there also on of which is my mechanic which also works on Chris car, so he starts a lot of talk that he will beat me with his A/C on so his girl can stay cool. I'm not saying much because I know that the 540 are fast, so he goes I race you for all the money in my pocket right now my bother and some of my friends starts to take money from every one. Came up $182.00
So Chris goes good! Tell my bother to hold the money. He said to his girl friend (ok baby when where done here I will take you to Macys to shop) Now I am thanking if I lose he gets all the money. My mechanic friend tell Chris ok all the money for 1-mile. He agrees, a friend run in side to get his camcorder and we all leave to a long strip of road a few miles from my house. We get there and everyone gets out, we go all the way to the end of the strip pull up next to me, roll down his window and say on the count of three go. So where racing from the end of the strip to where we let everyone out which is about a mile. He counts to three and were off I start of in second gear and red lining it then shifts into drive. I had him about a half a car length but he was not gaining on me at. Well he lost his money I still have the tape. As for Chris, after that day never seen him! My bother works with him and said that shortly after he sold the BMW and bought a Mercedes C-Class. He starting to talk sh** again!

At that time yes my car was about 3 weeks old.

 

Got a racing story, but not about my maxima...
My friend and I were driving to the shore in his Camaro (heavily modded...does 12.5 1/4 mile) and a guy in a 5.0 Mustang started coming up on his side. The guy got next to him and we took off, we were about three car lengths in front doing around 125 and the guy was dropping off. We were in the left most lane (of three lanes) and we're flying. We pass two guys on a motorcycle in the right most lane. all of a sudden the two guys on the motorcycle start speeding up and they are catching us. They get right next to us, it's a Honda CBR 900RR. So my friend floors in and we're pulling away, his speedometer reads about 140. Out of nowhere the two guys on the bike go flying by us, like we weren't even moving. Both of our mouths drop and my friend just begins to slow down in disbelief. They must have passed us doing at least 160 with TWO people! We were not about to try to catch them....even if we could.

 

I bought a stock 99 SE about 4 months ago. Since then I have raced a new Pontiac Sunfire, an 88-89 Prelude and a 99 Mustang. I beat the Sunfire and the Prelude pretty easily, and I just edged past the Mustang (not gt). That kinda suprised me. I LOVE THIS CAR!

One of my friends got an R32 skyline the single turbo version in an automatic (2litre turbo, straight six) and he was raving on about how he has like one of the fastest cars going around the streets here at the Gold Coast. So one day we were cruising with 4 friends int he car and we saw him on the road, so i pulled up next to him in the MAX and gave him crap, i was curiouse to see how his car whent. So anyway he starts to gun it and i think what the hey i'll go to, so he pulls away about 2 car lengths, then all of a sudden the gap starts to narrow, my friends cant believe we are gaining on him!!!!!! we slowly walked passed him doing about 100mph He was shocked and better yet he only had two people in his car and we had four!!!!!!!!
I think he is now selling his car and trading in for a twin turbo supra, i'd better start modding!
