95-97 conversion back side

I have a 95 maxima and I did a 95-97 front bumper conversion looks wicked. The Nissan dealer called me telling me that they have a insurance right-off of an 98(front hit). They said if I want the lights to complete the conversion of the 1995. I'am wondering if anyone has ever done this before changing the 95 back to a 97-99 back, because I have never seen this before and if anyone has pictues plz post the pictures showing the back only conversion!!!

I don't know of anyone that has done this successfully or even attempted to do it. But from what I understand, the outer tailights fit without modification, then all you need is to swap the trunk lid for a 97-99. I believe you don't even need to change the bumpers, which are slightly different...

swapping the rear

YES, the rear bumpers from the 97+ are "plug and play" with the rear bumper of a 95-96. I read this on the forum about the new body kit that one of the .org members is putting his time to.

I have successfully changed my 96 rear bumper to a 97+. I already have the taillights, I am just looking for a damn trunk lid. Looks like I will be doing a midnight covert-op mission to get one

What exactly are you asking? I did the whole conversion and it was cake, just a bit time consuming but its worth the look. If u have more questions u can pm me.

i have the trunk lid from a 97 on, waiting on a fellow org member to send bumper out monday. got lucky found both already the same color as my car, so no painting was needed......but with the 97 trunk and 96 bumper my trunk release button is not working , i have to use key for it to open. i think the trunk lid is not closing all the way for it to work , maybe the bumper will help out. well see......

Oh my are you in for a fun few months. The trunk latching system is a b**** to get to work right. I just recently have had the luxury of closong the trunk genetly, before it was like. Most of it was laziness on my part but the thing u have to adjust is the screws to make it sit flush. Anyway about your not being able to open it with the button and only the key, i think you may have accidently tripped the double lock option which alows only key operation. Look near the latch there should be like a little metal thing you can move up and down.

axion- rear conversion for me was $230 with clear tails.

Trunk Problem

I hae just completed the the rear conversion and the trunk button on the drivers door, and the remote will not work. The shop even went as far as to put the old latch from the 95 trunk lid on the new one.

Has anyone fixed this problem?
