One day when driving back to the house I suddenly heard a drastic change in my exhaust note, only too see my resonator barely hanging on and dragging across the pavement!

After further inspection I noticed that the resonator completely broke off right before the flex section before the muffler, and is rusted to all hell.

Now my question is, what's the best route for replacement?

I know cattmann and greddy make high end exhaust systems, but I'm not ready to spend that type of cash. I was thinking about buying one of those cheap ebay exhaust systems, then swapping out the muffler for something closer to stock.

I also went to a shop just for kicks to see what they would charge, and they told me a whopping $700 just to change the B-pipe after the cat, and keep the old muffler

Anyway would this exhaust work with this muffler?

Or just buy this and be done with it? Isn't the stock exhaust really restrictive at the bends?

I currently have a budget y-pipe installed as well, so I'm not looking for anything extremely loud, the closer to stock the better..

Also would a stock muffler bolt onto that exhaust?

Any ideas of how it would sound with the stock muffler (catback has different resonator than stock)?
