New Mods Installed

New Years Eve at around 1:00am I decided to order myself some new mods from CustomMaxima.com (had an early night out and was drunk, felt like spending money). I ordered the Addco Rear Sway Bar, Place Racing CAI and Trenz Aluminum Valence for my black 98 Max.
This morning they arrived, except for the CAI because he was out of them. First thing I did was try and install the Trenz Valence. Once I got the plastic covers off the underbody, it took me forever to figure out how the grille was suppose to fit and be fastened to the bumper.
After about 30 minutes of frustration, I saw the light and realized I was trying to install the bracket the wrong way. Once I figured that out, it was 1-2-3 and done. Looks great, especially with the black body. It goes well with the silver Nissan badge on the grille, the headlights, corners and fogs. Makes my Maxima look great!! I'm very happy I got it.
Next was figuring out how to get my car up to install the Addco RSB. I had jack stands, and I had ramps, but I didn't have a jack and I had no one to guide me onto the ramps so I found someone to borrow a jack from. Jacked it up onto the stands and got under there.
I was quite surprised at how easy it was (as easy as it can be for ONE person) to install it. Once I got it semi-bolted on and lined up, I tightened everything home and lowered the car back down.
Took her for a spin and WHOOO! I thought my handling increased with the FSTB and Springs, but this RSB really completed the set up. When I turn the wheel, it feels like the WHOLE car is turning, not just the front. The back end stayed down and level throughout every turn, no matter how hard I pushed it. At high speeds there was absolutely NO sway on swurves or lane changes. I can't beleive how solid and sporty my Maxima feels now.
Just wanted to share the joy, as I always do after I add a mod.
Once I get the PR-CAI I'll work on that install. After that, it won't be any more mods for a while cuz I'm out of money to spend.
Sorry for the book!
Tony

Awesome...

I just ordered a FSTB and RSB from Greg today and I can't wait to slap those babies on my car. Looking forward to much improved handling.

Do you want a Trenz grill to go with the valence?

I have one for sale. Check the forsale section.

No thanks. I'm very pleased with the way my Max looks with just the valence. I thought the grille would be a little too much for my taste, the valence is just perfect.
Thanks for the offer.

HAHA exactly, me too! Short hard turns imrpoved quite a bit, buts its the long winding turns at high speeds that REALLY make me feel like i'm driving a race car. GOD I LOVE MY MAXIMA!!!!!

put em on ramps, didnt remove a thing, well actually the e-brake cable CAN get in the way, some removed it for the install, then reattached it, though it may not be necessary, it wasnt for me
