I GOT MY CAR BACK!

Finally picked my car up from my mechanics shop.

The dumbass "technicians" at the dealership didn't disconnect anything when they were programming the new ecu and popped the eng cont 1 fuse then gave up on diagnosing that as the problem it had with starting.

It took all of 5 seconds for me to spot that.. At any rate i have my car back and for anyone that read my previous thread about the incredibly hard starts and lack of starting at all, it was the ecu that was the problem period.

Thank you for anyone that helped in the past and for any help in the future cause this thing will never be finished

I seriously don't trust the "knowledge" of dealership mechanics. They don't seem to get ANYTHING right. I have to go to them with prior research and basically tell them what to fix before they even consider looking at it.

Not to mention they check like 5 other things first and disregard my request until they sit and scratch their heads because they ran out of ideas. Mom and pop mechanics are far better in that regard because they have real world experience with common issues.

Most dealerships want new mechanics right out of school so they can school them in how they want them to do things. IE what to say always needs to be replaced etc. Some people only take their cars to dealerships and if they say this is bad its a simple "ok replace it". ITs just a different mindset than mom and pops places. But they do have THE BEST diagnostic equipment hands down and can tell you exactly what is wrong and where if they know what they are doing

^ while i agree with the diagnosing machines comment, they just failed to identify a 10 amp mini fuse that is labled "eng cont" that was charred black from being blown.. i personally think that's silly and doesn't need a million dollars worth of machinery or a degree/ certification of any sort... but just my $0.02
