Lawd if you listenin, HELP!

Will 5th gen coilovers fit in a 4th gen, and/or the other way around? I might trade my d2/kyb setup for a fellow Maxima enthusiast's Megan coilovers. Only catch is; he's got a 5th gen and I've got a 4th...

No they won't, well the rears will with 4th gen top hat but the fronts won't. The spacing on the bolts in the front is farther apart then the 4th gens are. I tried this awhile ago

The only "fix" that I kno of is to change the front spindle assembly cause of the bolt pattern, was to much for me lol

For reference I had 5th gen h&r's on the front only, can't even tell lol

I think you just have to enlarge the bottom holes on the front spindles and use a bigger bolts.

No offense but would you really trust drilling holes or makin them bigger on a major suspension component? Really for best results just get the suspension that fits your car for safety's sake lol that's why I didn't continue my venture with the 5th gen stuff.

Well when I went to install the front jic's that ken (froggmann) has in our garage, drilling wasn't even an option lol it was way off. I just don't trust drilling or enlarging holes in front suspension. I've seen bad things happen in the offroad world, granite we don't jump or anything but still scary to me
