Exhaust question

Ok - here is my next question. I have a 95 gxe automagic. I would really like to change the exhaust. Would i get any performance gains if i just change the muffler (no catback)?? Or instead of this, if i keep the stock exhaust and add a CAI wood this lead to a significant performance increase???

CAI first

The first mod would probably be the CAI. I have a Stillen Hi-flow intake and wish I would have gone the other way and put in the CAI. You'll get a little more hp and torque with with either one. You'll notice the car to pull more if you do both. But if I were you, I'd start with the CAI.

1996 SE 5-speed---MODS---Stillen Hi-flow intake, Stillen SS catback exhaust, UR pulley, Courtesy FSTB, Stillen RSB, and some other cosmetic goodies

Get the CAI first. Then get a Y pipe.

By getting the CAI first the ypipe will have better air to work with and give better results. By getting the Ypipe first though you will get more HP first. It is up to you.

Yes as a matter a fact, apex has a whole bunch of universal mufflers that can be welded on. I think the N-1 muffler has a kool noise. The dunk is also kool, for the first few days that is....and then it just gets cheesy
