Damn Carwash

So since I work at a gas station I get a free car wash so i was going through mine tonight and towards the end the air was blowing that it riped off my front lip that i had guess that 3m tape didnt work well anyways the lip is broken now and I am wanting to get a new one but have a budget in idea. Anyone know of any that actually look good and not RICER. I asked my boss for money since it is his car wash so he said he would give me like 60 bucks so thats what i got to play with.

a joke? a lip for $60? Only thing you can do for that is the home depot lip. If 3m didnt hold it on you probably didn't prep the area good enough. The lip would fail before properly installed 3m double adhesive would. Did you use alcohol to clean it?

1st what lip did you have?
2nd how did it break from air blower?
3rd $60 for a lip? your kidding right?
4th im surprised your boss gave you anything, most places have a sign that theyre not responsible for damages and so forth.
5th was this your 1st time using that car wash?
6th to properly install a lip you should at least used 1 screw on each side of the lip not just tape alone

pics? or it didn't happen

The lip was something that one of my friends long time ago put on i don't remember what it was, he said just give me like 40 and ill get you a lip and i said ok. However i did let my girl drive my maxima about a year ago and that was a bad idea cause she cracked the middle of the lip and it was during winter cause she pulled up to a curb to close so my lip became a snow plow. I then put 3m tape under it to keep it up and it work i guess i didnt do a good cleaning job first. My boss said he would give me 60 just to get it replaced i don't care its extra money in my pocket but I am debating what to get now i have now about 120 bucks saved up. It wasnt my first time using the wash thats for sure. and yea the air blower got it. At least now i know not to let someone else do it and do it myself or else i know it wont be done right ... NOOOB mistake haha and no pic i got pissed off and threw it away seconds after it happened sorry

i dont know about other regions, but i would'nt waste my time as there's a kazillion speed bumps and potholes here in eastern pa. i'd love a full stillen kit, but there's no way it would last around here.

You think you have it bad, you should see some of the inclines we have to drive up around here to get into businesses/storefronts/etc. I scrape in my G, and I'm on stock suspension. It should be interesting to see how the car does when I lower it next week.

I use a drivethru.carwash when i have no other options... my.lip however is screwed on each side... my spoiler has 3 broken tabs im surprised it hasnt blown.off yet... BUT id say buy a stillen lip for sure.. they flex well.. ive ran mine.over twice after ripping.it off on a curb once as it was going under and again in reverse to get it out...no cracks no damage at alllll...stillen lip or GO HOME..ionic lips are nice would will never compare to the abuse stillens lip can take..
