I30 Ecu

Are the ECU's in the max and I30 the same?? Would an ecu from a 96 I30 work on a 99 SE ?? f not, can it be reprogrammed to work? thanx

As far As I know they are the same, how ever ECU's are a bit different from 95 to 97, but 98 and 99 are the same, as far as I know..

99s have different ECUs. It won't work.

why would you want it to work anyways? what's the upgrade?

Why you ask? Some how water, yes H2O got into the car..I mean like enough to top off where the ECU sits..so yeah i opened up the ecu and found all the stuff inside rusted together...not good
