Installed new Radiator

After work yesterdaym, I installed a new Koyorad #NIS078663.
Cleaning the garage seemed to take longer than the actual install. I might have spent an hour working on it. Initial impression is good. Might still have leaks due to reusing the old hoses and clamp. Time and a thorough inspection will tell, but they looked good. Good news is that the radiator support still looks like the day the car was assembled.

If you are replacing the rad you should replace the cap, hoses, clamps, thermostat and flush the system. You may even want to replace the heater core hoses as well.

Everything was working great and in good shape besides a cracked tank. All the other components are not in the budget now, but will be replaced before they fail.

Also, I flushed the system and filled it a little over a month ago.

Do you know where your max originated from?

Radiator support looks perfect on mine as well. It seems like only the east coast Maxima's have trouble with rusted radiator supports.

Bought mine from a Guy in Canyonville, OR. Around here, when it does snow, they use sand rather than salt.

What is this "snow" people keep talking about? lol so glad I live in the ninth circle of hell that is Central Texas. But the humidity!

Seriously though a few months ago there were like 50 threads on radiator support issues and you guys got me all scared. I just have to worry about salt when I make a Padre Island coastal run.

Red Car = 0 rust anywhere, Texas car all of it's life, i'm sure it's been to the beach often.

White Car = Rust in all of the typical places... IT WAS ONLY IN MN FOR ITS FIRST TWO YEARS!!! Then it's been in Houston since 98.

Something about Snow man...

Good to hear about your rad support though.

The Radiator is one of the easier jobs on a Maxima.
