The 99 A/C operates slightly different then all other 4th gens. It does not cycle to maintain pressures, it's controlled within the system.
Not sure if I30's in 99 were also configured this way, however it's possible.

My computer is making no sense.
Because I had issues w/ finding the A/C Compressor on my car, but my computer says....
96 6/96 to 99 after 12/98 will fit.
Which is NOT true because a 97 compressor did NOT work on my car (2/99)
So I have no idea
Just stick to 99's only and hope for the best
Edit:
Even courtesyparts agrees with my computer.... I guess the seller sold me a 95 compressor....

I tried to look up Nissan part numbers but could not find the same type of info for the Infinity line. Maximas used several different compressors. 97 & 98 used one, 99 used another and 2000 used another. However all those compressors have been discontinued and replaced by a "universal" (my wording, not nissan's) compressor, part # 27600-2Y01B.
This "universal" number is also used on the Infinity I30, but I cannot find a parts lising with original part numbers.
