Confusion on Corner light LED conversion

So I've got two sets of HIDs in my jdm one piece aftermarket housing, and they look good, but the corner light is a normal halogen bulb but i would like to put an LED light in there. My question is, can a LED light thats the right size bulb fit right into the stock harness for the corner bulb? Or do i need something else to make that conversion? Because from the looks of the ones i wanna purchase they don't look like they would fit right in.

Should be an 1156 or an 1157 depending on year. They are plug and play

1156

1157

I have a samiliar issue. I have two 1156 led bulbs for my 98 and they don't work. Ive tried switching them just to make sure they weren't polarized but they still don't work. Any ideas?

All 4th gens use 1157 bulbs for the corners IIRC.

They don't turn on with the rest of the lights....

I have 1156 filament bulbs in there now and they work fine.

Possibly a bad bulb are both cornering lights not working or just one? Have you done the "always on bright" mod or just stock bulb set up?

if they fit in the harness, but dont light up, it could just be a cheap crappy led you bought. half of these ebay leds dont make it 30 seconds out of the box before theyre broke.

also i find with these stlye leds, when youre twisting to try and get the nips into the respected places, its right then and there that the connection for the led usually gets ripped. cuz the bottom will spin seperate from the bulb surrounding the led. you get a half a twist, and you couldve already ruined your new 2 dollar ebay bulb

Your never going to match the HID color, even if you get it close it still stands out.
Put a standard orange 1156 or 1157 bulb in the corner, the contrast next to your HID's will look great.

im not saying they come broke from ebay. im saying theyre cheap(just like the rest of them) and if youre not careful while twisting it in to its socket you could break a connection inside.

also ive gotten some from ebay that wouldnt light up unless i pressed the light down a little harder onto the connection. the way it sat normally wouldnt illuminate it. or if it would iluminate, a minute down the road itd wiggle and go out.
