I second that. I'd love to see any new and original ideas this jerk has come up with.

Hey, hey, hey. Somebody is too touchy. Just because I don't like the look doesn't mean I don't respect the amount of work and expertise that went into it. It just doesn't look nice to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Thanks. I spent a good portion of Saturday working on it, as well as some time on friday with my initial inspectin of the lighting setup. (I do have lots of free time right now, as I am in between semesters at school). Once I did the writeup, it didn't sound like it would take nearly as long as it took me (I had to do lots of experimenting along the way). Don't quote me on the time, but i would imagine it shouldn't take more then a few hours once you have all the parts (should take less if you know what you're doing and don't hit any snags).
I'm still waiting for my blue intelliglow needles, but that was the idea glad to know it'll match. I did the blue door switches already.

The pic I took of it didn't come out that great. The buttons also don't lite up quite as bright as I was hoping. I might try to experiment using the 2700 mcd bulbs RadioShack sells and loading them less (maybe try 15 mA for starters) and see if it looks any better.

As far as readability, I can see where every button is. They are all readable when its dark (though my brother said he couldn't read the buttons from the back seat...not that it matters). The up arrow doesn't light up particularly well, but the down one does, so that's no big deal. Also, the climate control is much more in front of you than the door switches, so if it was too bright, I have the feeling it could be distracting while driving.
