Noobie here :D

Hey guys. My name's Brandon and in the next couple days, I'll be picking up my first Maxima. It's a 96 SE 5 speed. It's in pretty awesome shape for having 230k miles.

Anywhoo, I've been in the Nissan game for about 4 years now. I've never owned a Maxima before so this is a first experience. Currently, I have a 95 200sx SE-R with a 99 G20 swap. I'll post up pictures of both cars when I get the Max, but for now, here are two pictures of the A32:

Welcome to the .org!

A lot of information here, and some very knowledgeable/helpful members. If you have any questions, the searchbar up top is a great place to start. Some people tend to take it personal when people start new threads for old topics

Thanks! I've been lurking for the past few days for some inspiration on what to do to this car.

And believe me, I know. I've been on too many forums to count. Even I get mad when someone doesn't search first.

And you should get many more miles out if her! Do all maintenance first and get Rid of any leaks. First things first....give that baby a bath, clay bar, and wax...

The previous owner actually did a hell of a lot of maintenance. Oil change, valve cover gaskets, filters, spark plugs and wires, etc. I'll get a list of maintenance off of him when I go pick up the car. I know he also did the oil pan and gasket there too.

It's got a hell of a lot more pick up than my SR20 does.

I like it a lot. Shifts smooth and drives smooth. The only thing I noted is that it feels like one of the motor mounts is bad, but I'll have to drive it more to confirm.

Picked up the car Friday. I absolutely love it. I know right now that it needs a transmission mount and new front struts. And I need to put the intake box back on, considering the previous owner took it off for "more power." Anywhoo, I'll have some damn good pictures to post up when I get home later today.

get rid of the pin stripe on the drivers side fender, it looks horrible.

that engine bay is fairly clean, sure does look like it was kept up on maintanance.

Thanks . This car is in immaculate shape considering it's age and the mileage. The PO kept up on the maintenance very well, considering he was a tech like myself. I'm gonna put it up on a lift some time this week and take a look at everything. Gonna get myself a list of stuff that it needs together and then do an oil change within the next few weeks.

Yeah. I'm definitely gonna get rid of that pinstripe. Thanks for the welcome!

If you weren't all the way in Cali, I'd trade interiors.
