The older supra 1989-1992 were slow, a supercharged max could take one or hang with one any day. But I raced a 1997 Twin turbo supra last night. I had no chance in fact by second gear I gave up he was a good 3cars ahead. I found out that he replaced the turbos with bigger ones and did some other things. Acoording to a dyno chart that he had in the glove compartment he was putting down 575hp at the rear wheels plus a six speed. Tell me again why I even tryed.

You did good

at least you got to see the Supra go fast. Even if you only got to see his back bumper.

I'll race a porsche on my grandma's chevette, is just fun.
Besides, you never know when the other guy/gal is going to mess up. :-}

"Are YOU a guy or a girl. If you are a guy and just asked this question you just insulted the whole generation of men." That was thoughtless to race a '97 Supra, I'm not surprised that he smoked you and you gave up early like a punk. Before you race anyone and get your tail whipped, do your background info...

Ouch..

Yeah no kidding. If I had a sc I'd be racing everything higher up on the food chain. The fact alone that he was able to be within 3 car lengths of a 600hp car is impressive. It's all just for fun anyway =P

You have to win every race?

I've run against a Cobra, just to see how bad I'd would be beaten.

It's all in good fun...what's up your ***?

even the 3rd gen Supra, it still depends on how modified it is, some are in 10's, 11's as well.

The dude has his own hairdrier under the hood. Not like he was stock NA. Who knows.. Could have been an auto turbo. Maybe he would have had a chance if it was a stock auto turbo.

Easy Big Guy. This is a friendly forum. Boys and girls as well as men and women visit here regularly. No such thing as a stupid question. Not too much abuse... even to those unfortunate souls who just got WAXED! Thank you.

To see how this thing started, click on this link to see how people try to make me look stupid in this forum. I asked a simple mechanical question and I get this kind of response. https://maxima.org/forums/showthread...?threadid=8099

As I was saying, this is a friendly forum. Without passing judgment on our two e-squabblers, let me say this: I don't want to sift through tons of e-squabbling to get to helpful information about my car. On a forum with so many visitors, occasionally someone will unload. That is unfortunate. My advice: Don't respond to it. Let's give it a rest, OK?

I get it know I've been wrong this whole time. And this whole time all I needed was some soap.
