Power dying

Power dying

Sup guys my 96 maxima stays chrged when the car is running but when the car is sitting for like 3 hours off the battery gets drained out I checked for any drains and cant find any

To drain a battery down so that it won't start the car would be a pretty big electrical fault in the car. I think you could leave your headlights on for 3 hours and the car would still start if you had a good battery.

I think you need to get your battery tested/replaced.

Yeah sounds like a bad battery... Not being able to hold a charge..

Possibly a parasitic drain but it would have to be big like Dennis said. I vote for an old battery as well. How old is it? Do you leave your lights on a lot? old alternator or completely drain it alot? Numerous things. If you have a high accessory load such as a system I suggest looking into a Optima Yellow Top. Great battery for electronics

I just experienced this same issue and it turned out to be the alternator was bad. Replaced with new alternator and problem solved.
