This has been bothering me for a while, but my car came stock with some thin black rubber/plastic strips on the edge of the wheel well. I have an early 95. Personally I like how they look but one of them came off somewhere down the line. I've searched and came up with nothing. I've never even seen another 4th gen with this. Any help here? Where can I find a replacement trim piece?

I think I know what you guys are talking about. But no, I don't think the stock 95 came with them, at least not with mine. I have one of the earliest 95; picked up mine in August 1994, and it is still running strong

Mine's august 94 as well and it has them. I think it has to do with where it was manufactured? I had 2 95's and one has a different flop in the paint and the fender trim. and my current front bumper has black in the front cutouts while the other one did not. maybe because i drive a gxe and the other one was a gle?

pretty sure it has to do with the person who originally bought the car, and what options they wanted. because theyre definitely stock and not some aftermarket ones like you see on other peoples cars. mine came with them on the doors as well, and body colored.

but to the OP, pretty sure your only option is to replace with aftermarket that somewhat resemble the old ones.

No those are the mudflaps. What I'm looking for actually goes around the wheel well. I'll post a pic tomorrow

That's what everybody is assuming you need. Sounds like it's the stone guard you need. If so I have plenty of those.

nope, he wants those black strips that go over the edge of the fender and quarter wheel wells. they were an option, not stock. i have em, love em, dont think your gonna find those anywhere as they're phasing out acessories for our 95's...

look at the post above you. max ride 41s sig shows his car. you can see the moldings on his fender. and QP if you look hard enough. theyre just plastic strips.

the OP can easily find aftermarket versions that fit on any car, you just have to replace them all to be consistent. they usually come as one long one that you cut to fit.

Wow dude. Whats your problem? Chill the f out. I have never seen or heard of these things.. And I guarantee you I'm not the only one. And it was a picture of the front of the car. How the **** am I supposed to see the side of the car from the front? Get real man. The question wasn't even directed to you in the first place...

you think im flipping out? because i used one curse word? all i did was tell you that he posted a picture where, if you looked in the area that weve been talking about the entire thread, you would see the little pieces sticking off the side of the fender. thats just the way i talk man.

Well this went downhill fast.
It's ON THE WHEEL WELL. Look around the egde of the wheel well in the pictures. There is black trim sticking off. THAT IS THE PART IN QUESTION. It is not an auto zone part it is from the factory. I was curious if it could be found on a website somewhere and possibly ordered so I could keep the factory look. If you don't want to read and look and pay attention then why start flaming? Instead of just asking? Good lord

i can tell you that when a newer car comes through our shop and the edge gaurd molding is involved in the wreck area, we sublet that out to this trim company that comes out with OEM or very similar aftermarket replacements. a car from the 90s tho, not so lucky.

as i said before you will probably end up having to replace all 4, with a similar but not OEM replacement.
