For those with gorilla lugnuts

I am getting ready to order gorilla lugnuts from j.c. whitney, and I was wondering about what size i need. I am getting 17 inch motegi wheels, if that helps any. Thanks a lot.

Dont bother ordering them. Gorilla locks are all the same. I found it out at one of the meets. Get Mc Guard. The best.

if you are buying the motegi wheels make sure you get the motegi lug nuts. thier lockset is made to fit those wheels. it may not happen in your case but it is possible that you will experience some ride quality problems, shaking that will not quit. as far as the mcgard wheel locks are concearned, avoid the ones with a 2 piece key. they have a tendancy to
a: strip the key pattern off the inside of the key.
b: strip at the spline that "key" pattern section and the "key" housing meet.

What you mean by two piece key? Thanks

I have no problems with the McGard Spline lug nuts itself. However, their wheel locks are a different story. Twice I had stripped/broken locks problem. The key to the locks was also broken. Yes, it was due to a shop overtorqued the locks. I would avoid the McGard wheel locks. The Spline lug nuts are fine though.

Locking nuts option?

Ok, I'm new to this. I just bought a set of slightly used Katana K6's for my ride & need a locking solution. I see one vote for McGard here a a few negative comments as well.

What's the best locking option that you guys/gals have found?

Thanks!

P.S: Also, does anyone know if I can safely use my OEM lug nuts with the Katana K6? I've had them on the car & they fit, but I'm not sure if the OE nuts have the right bevel angle on the mounting side, etc. Again, I'm new to this - please excuse my ignorance.

Re: Locking nuts option?

i think the stock lug nuts have a conical seat, so i believe it should work with your aftermarket wheels. i too would like to know the answer to this?
