new owner!!!!

just inherited my 95 maxima from my mom...have some start up problems..but hopefully after i take it to the dealer to fix tomorrow...it will be driveable (that is if the damn thing starts up)

anyways i was wondering what is the best intake (adding the most hsp) and what is the loudest intake (the deeper and lower the sound, the better) for our maximas? and the price range for each

Thanks in advance

both are the same Place Racing Cold Air Intake.. around $200 ...

anything we can help you with on that car problems?

you might wanna pull the ECU code http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=45274

and then let us know.. we might be able to help you fix it cheaper than the dealer

Get the CAI, I wish I would have gotten it instead of the Pop Charger.

HELP!!!

okay so I took my car to the dealer..this is what they said i need to change:

Ignition lock cylinder assembly, and re-key cylinder $305

and they recommend me to do these:

Fuel induction Throttle body cleaning $95
AT flush $99.95
Supreme oil change flush due to inadequate oil in system $119.95
Power steering flush due to fluid conditions $79.00.

I was wondering what I could do myself and what the I can't do. My roommate told me that I couldn't do the fuel induction throttle body cleaning..so I probably should just let the dealer do that. And I just changed my oil, so what is a supreme oil flush? What about everything else? Any help would be great. Thanks

(I think my car is in pretty poor condition...so I do want to do these changes)

get the cattman/place racing cold air intake - the growl scares off hondas - its a 200 dollar mod and it will take about 3 hours of labor ( it took me 3 hours......it was my first time)

A layer of gunk (carbor deposits I believe) developes for some reason in all of the throttle bodies in Maximas and this just involved cleaning it out. You dont need to pay them that much, just go buy a can or TB cleaner (carb cleaner will work too but there is some debate about whether it will harm the TB's protective coating) and spray it in there. Wipe with a rag or brush and TADA!
