i used a 6ft flex pipe once for an older celica gt 93 worked great and had a mean *** growl to it better then the cai

The Gen4 Maxima makes 190 HP stock
The Gen5 Maxima makes 227 HP stock
The Gen5.5 Maxima makes 255 HP stock

What do they have in common? The same or similarly styled intake system.So if the newer Maximas with the same intake make more power, OK let's leave out the bigger 3.5, is the intake really that restrictive?

I say go Y-pipe or 00VI or both.

Not to start a flame war, but I'm not sure where you got that 30 sq" number from. That said, the concept of diverting cool air from behind the grill into the OEM inlet works well to reduce IAT. My 5thGen "CAD" & the 4thGen adaptation do essentially the same thing.

Contrary to common belief NmexMax has demonstrated time & again an OEM intake isn't THAT restrictive & has the advantage of a linear power curve. SEE BELOW SUMMARY
