Tires losing air quickly...need new wheels?
Hey guys, my 97 Max has been losing air in its tires quickly - I'd put in air at 38 PSI and then in like 2-3 weeks its dropping to like 14. I'm gonna get it checked out by discount tire, on the phone they said it's probably due to corrosion from the salt. What do you think?
I have YK580 tires, 16's I think. Can you recommend me some wheels and wheel brands? I don't know which company is good/bad. I like the 5 spoke design of the stock rims and want something similar..but a bit more cooler/modern looking.
Which of these would you get:

if theyre all losing air quickly, you just need your rims cleaned. the area where the rubber meets the rim will get corroded, and air will leak out. if you fill up one of your wheels with air and spray soapy water on the outer lip, you'll probably see air bubbles come from there
you just have to get the tires off and the edge of the rim grinded clean, and theyre good to go again. ive fixed hundreds of rims with the same problem, and some vehicles with all 4 losing air as well

The tires may not have been sealed properly to the rims. Take it to a regular tire repair shop and they will fill it and out it into a tub of water to check for leakage and examine for rim damage.
