Lowered

I knew my Max was lowered when I bought it. The previois owner told me it was, but knew nothing about the lowering cause it was like that when he bought it. I have had zero issues with it, struts dont bottom out, so wierd noises, I put 18" 25th aniv 350z wheels on it and had a alignment done, no issues whats so ever. The other day at my shop, I threw it on the lift to do the brakes so figured I would check out the spring/strut situation. Much to my surprise they appear to be factory struts, not leaking or anything, and the springs both front and rear are cut. It surprises me cause I always hear people talking about having issues with cut springs but these have been in for 20k miles that I have put on car, and about 50k the previous owner put on it with zero issues. I checked all steering and suspension components while it was in the air and everything was tight with no real signs of wear. I have compared it to other stock Maxima's and its about 3" front and 2" rear lower then stock. Just thought id share

A 3 inch drop with cut springs on stock struts will rattle your teeth going down the road.
So either your calculations are wrong or you've never driven a car with a properly set up suspension before.

I am having the feeling that you misjudged the springs... no way in hell he can cut 3" of the height and everything be OK... that car will be bouncing all over the place... tires will get cupped as soon as you put them on and so on... the ride will just be terrible... go back and look closely at the springs... and if they are really cut I would recommend replacing asap

This is getting very annoying. I don't care how important your topic is, make sure the thread title is something better than QUESTIONS, HELP ME, OMG LOOOKZ.
This has already been covered in the stickies, but no one reads them...

So please be kind to everyone and make a useful thread topic.
