license plate bracket and new license plate LED

so I was changing my interior to all LEDs and thought it would be a good idea to change the license plates light as well.. When I went to check on it, I noticed that both lights were out for the license plate, and when I looked underneath and tried to take out the bracket it literally fell apart in my hands cuz of all the rust. So I made a new one:

As you can see I made it with the existing light bulbs and a piece of metal and bent it into shape. I tried to initially screw on everything to the bracket but the screw hole of the original light cover was broken so i just wrapped it up with electrical tape...does anyone know if this is dangerous? would the electrical tape catch on fire? I sealed it pretty good so water can't come in and short everything...

I installed the LEDs and now it looks like:

Its much brighter than regular lights, but I think since the light covers were old, it doesn't light up as much..

you need an img tag like this [img] on either side of the link. Have a photobucket? THat is an easy service to use

lol no not like that. Put it on either side of the link. Easier to just go to photobucket

this is an image address:

and when you put [img] with [/img] being the last one it comes out like this

See my sig for the link to "how to upload pics". I don't know what you did with electrical tape since your pics didn't load but you should be fine...those bulbs do not get very hot, especially if you have leds in there now.
