Please Help! P0340

Ok So Its Been 2 Days and My Car wont Start. Its a 98 automatic maxima. It Just cranks but refuses to turn over. The only code thats coming up is p0340 Crank Position Sensor bank 1 circuit malfunction. I changed the Battery, Starter and fuel pump and the problem persist. I checked all the fuses and their good. I tested the coils and their getting power but Im not getting any spark at all upon cranking. I replaced both crankshaft position sensors as well as the camshaft position sensor and no luck. Please Help Any Input will be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Holy parts changing! That's the DTC for the camshaft position sensor. After replacing it, did you measure the voltage on the signal wire, to see if it's pulsing like it should when cranking the engine? Then make sure that same pulse is present at the ECM. Without a scope or a digital voltmeter with graphing capability, it will be hard to see exactly what's happening but you should see the signal voltage jumping between +9 and -9 V, relative to battery negative.

Double check the ground of this circuit, will be the black wire leading directly to the intake manifold. the white wire is from terminals 46&47 of the ecu that is where you should receive an approx signal of 4.5 volts.

Inspect the wire harness going to the sensor.

Perhaps it's a possibility that your timing chain has stretched or your tensioner is failing

The tensioners failing could be a possibility once all electrical has been proven to be in good working condition. We all know these cars are notorious for harness issues.
