If your car has been rearended, or has a bad door switch it could be causing the BCM to not enter sleep mode, and draw enough current to kill the battery overnight.

You need to perform a parasitic draw test.

id check to see if there ia any kind of draw on the battery with everything off (you could have a penny in the lighter 12v that could make a draw and kill the battery)....i had a problem on my maxima ( Reman alt) when it went on long drive it would over charge the battery and it would be fine the same day but when you left it over night the battery would be dead( with no draw on battery)...i changed the alternator and problem was fixed

If you are not closing the hood all the way, the car is not going into sleep mode and will run down the battery. Otherwise you'll have to do a parasitic draw test like asand1 said.

yeah when he got the car first it did this, and he had a bad alt and thebattery was dead, so we replaced both and it was working great. so we thought we solved the problem. now 2 months later, its dead again. so hes def got a parasitic drain. hopefully itll be easy to find.

alright we did the parasitic draw test

we did the parasitic draw test,, it says it was draining 11 volts from the battery which is a big ? mark to me.. checked every single fuse in the car and nothin changed.. we have no clue whats going on here,, any ideas please

we did that parasitic draw test exactly like in the video. the multimeter read like 11.5 volts. we pulled every fuse and nothing changed.

where hes got a draw of 3.somethin in the video, it says we have a draw of like 11.5. wtf is it

That's because you have your meter on volts instead of Amps.

so what, we were just getting the reading of the voltage of the battery? not the reading of draw on the battery? cuz we did exactly what the video said disconnected the negative cable and tested off that..

When you tell us the results are in volts, you did not do a parasitic draw test. A parasitic draw test is measuring current flow, which is stated as amperes. While you say that you did the test exactaly as the video showed it, your words reporting the results don't agree with that. Now, if you had the meter set up for current measurment and were truly measuring current, a reading of 11.5 AMPS would be extremely high.

A bad starter could do this as could a bad alternator. While this kind of a failure is rather rare, it's not impossible. There are no fuses to pull for this, you would have to disconnect the battery wire from those units.

But I think that you did not do the draw test as it should have been done. Watch the video again, hook up you meter and carefully all the connections and meter settings and try the draw test again.

electricity is not one of my strong points when it comes to cars. wiring diagrams and such, my weak point. we mightve done it wrong. or maybe it is his starter, since he IS having some crazy *** problems. and a previous accident that wasnt reported by the old owner is causing a lot of weird problems. well try the test again today, and we will also try testing the starter. hoping its not the alternator, cuz we just replaced it.
