axles

I have an issue with my axles I believe that's causing vibration. Would there be any problem driving with non lsd axles on my car with lsd tranny?

I have this issue where I hit the gas hard my axle on passenger side pops out but then it goes back in. I look at the passenger side and it looks like the axles is stretched as in the boot is stretched out to far. I have heard that lsd axles are bigger not sure if it's true or not.

Debating whether I go get I30 lsd axles or not. My axles now on the car are a week old and they are from advance auto parts. I have life time warranty. Not sure if anyone had any problems with advance before.

Oh yeah another thing is when I try to make a right turn or left and hit the gas to hard it would sometimes pop out of place also. I would have to hit the gas lightly. Same to making a u turn. This is getting annoying I can't even drive 60mph without vibrating.

LSD is part of the differential which is in the transmission. There is nothing built into the axle for LSD. However, the length of one axle is different for a LSD transmission then a non-LSD transmission. I think the LSD axle is shorter, but not sure enough to be willing to argue that point.

The passenger side axle has a center support bearing in the middle that is bolted to the frame so I don't understand how the axle is pulling out of the differential.

I would suggest that you check into the part numbers of the axles you got from advance and see if they are the correct ones. And even if it is the correct number, I'd take that sucker back, it may not have been the correct one in the box.

The driver's side VLSD axle has an additional set of splines on it that engage the viscous coupler. The passenger side axle is the same between VLSD and open diff transmissions.

Raxles are only necessary if you want the extra strength, I needed them and could get them at a steal. I think the auto parts store axles come with a lifetime warranty or likely a warranty longer than they will last so it will be cheaper if you can handle possibly changing them out frequently.

oh if you go lower those axles will just crap out in a few months. If you want to go super low, have to pay to play or just have lots of time to swap out axels lol

If you plan on going lower, raxles wont be any better.. When I was an auto, having the lifetime autozone alxes were perfect being that I was changing them every other month. But when I converted to 6spd, evrey axles I tried gave me vibration including raxles, some had dampers some did'nt. so I managed to score some OEM axles and just ordered the inner\outer boot kits from nissan. No vibrations what so ever. I even keep spare boot kits on hand. But what I have found out it that the OEM boots lasts a couple months more than the aftermarket ones do

Well maybe I should try to go to AutoZone and buy passenger axle. That's the only side im having problems with. Driver side is always fine. Im gonna try to find an extra passenger side soon. I hate this vibration every single day. I drive about 60 miles a day. I can't even enjoy the ride.

Tell me about it. I even have another set of axles that I just finished rebooting both inner & outer, ready to replace when the set on the car goes out. Then all I have to do is remove, replace & reboot only to do it all over again...LoL!

When I did my axles 3 months ago, I searched for comments on axles and Napa brand seemed to get good reviews. So I bought Napa new, not re-manufactured. They are not the cheapest ones, even Napa has cheaper lines, but I was aiming for no problems, not the cheapest thing out there.

i got oreilly axles and am having a vibration as well. i dont have a lsd tho but would a lsd in a non or vice versa cause transmission damage? assuming the passenger side is the same reguardless lsd / non. i did a swap and am having vibration issues. concerned its going to eat up my transmission.
