good suspension for Max

Once I get my Max back (in awhile...... ) I am planning on throwing in new suspension. I am not lowering or raising, just looking to improve the performance. I am looking for handling more than soft/stiff ride, and am planning to put 16" on once I sell my 15's. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

I have a 99 SE-L. Here's my experiences.

I put H&R's in it. Took them out 3 months later because I could not get the springs to quiet down. Way to much crunch crunch noise and the ride on stock struts was starting to suffer.

Next step. I put the stock springs back in, all new spring isolators and seats. I also replaced the struts/shocks as well with the KYB AGX's. Replaced the front sway bar bushings with new ones from Courtsey Nissan. I have a FSTB and RSB.

The car rides amazing setup like this. AGX's are set on 2 both front and rear. The car is so smooth and sooo quiet yet very firm with almost no body roll at all. I had 17" wheels and tires on it, just changed back to the stock 16" wheels. (winter in NJ) It got even better as far as ride goes after I went back to 16's. A little more cushion in the sidewalls on 16" tires. Overall I highly reccomend this setup. Handling is excellent!

How much did that setup cost? FYI...I already have a FSTB and RSB. Sounds like what I'm looking for. Decent somewhat soft ride with no body roll.

It's a very nice ride to say the least! The struts were 380. The bushings were something like 30 bucks from Courtesy Nissan, new spring isolators on all 4 corners ran about 75 bucks from my local dealer. You may or may not need new isolators, I just wanted the best, quietest ride possible so I renewed everything. Made a hugh difference.
