Maxima 1998 GLE Won't Start
Hi guys, I have a Maxima 1998 GLE and the car wont start. Last winter I changed my alternator twice and also bought a new battery. All sumer long the car was fine and I didnt have any problem. But 3 days ago when i tried to start the car in the morning it didnt work. I called my friend to jump start the car and everything was fine. I went to work, went to a couple a store and the car was starting each time. But the next morning the same thing happened again. I didnt left any lights on during the night, nothing. Can someone help me please. Is it the battery , the alternator again ??? I dont know what to do
Thanks !!
Thanks !!

Get a volt meter and check the battery voltage before you try to start the car. the voltage reading should be between 12 and 12.5 volts. If the reading is below 12 volts, we have to figure out why. Get the car started and measure the voltage again. If the voltage is around 14 volts, the alternator is working and your battery is bad. If the voltage while running is less than 13.5 volts, you have a bad alternator that cannot re-charge the battery.

Thanks a lot for your help guys, the problem was the battery, the alternator was showing 14 volts, the battery was at 11 volts and was around 300 amp, since I was still under guaranty i went back to Canadian Tire, they did a test and the battery failed the test, so they gave me a new one, thanks again
