No spark, No codes, No CEL working

Hello All
Im sort of a NOOBIE with this being my first post but have been using this forum for several years. Hope Im not p!ssing anyone off with starting a new(OLD) thread. ive searched but found nothing. Ive been reading these threads for a long time and have learned so much about these cars. Hope I can be of help some time soon. 1995 max, first the CEL does not come on at all....not with key on not when it WAS running. Why? Im not getting any spark at the spark plugs. Coils tested out fine. Did whole engine harness check from plug to ecu and back. Checked both voltage and ohms. Had what I thought was the answer a bad condenser. Replaced that. The CKPS POS tested bad and replaced that. Did not change REF yet. New plugs, timing chain, water pump, belts hoses....yada,yada,yada. New MAF, both O2 sensors, CAT and exhaust. New ignition switch, cam sensor. Getting pump prime and fuel, cranks, put extra grounds as you all suggested. New battery cable ends. My main question is why do I not get spark? While cranking the Tach does not bounce as it should. Few days ago it was bouncing and the engine would sputter like it wanted to start. Saw something about battery voltage at red wire on CKPS REF. is that correct? Condenser should have 12V. Cam sensor voltage on signal should have +9V to -9V. White wire on cam sensor should have 4.5V with key on. The screw in ECU....should it be all the way counter clockwise for starting mode? I saw somewhere that it should be in middle. Please HELP!!!! Need this car running before XMAS. Other car got totalled by a drunk.

Typically a no spark is caused by a bad crankshaft sensor. There are two REF and POS. REF is on the crank pully, POS is on the bell housing and looks at the flywheel.
The bulb for the check engine lit might be bad, pull the cluster and check or change it.
The screw on the ECU should be in the center position.

thanks. will try all tomorrow. Ill let you know how it works out. I figured it would be the crank sensor at pully since all the rest are new and after further research found out that this sensor does in fact have to do with spark. CEL.... the bulb is good. There was nothing in hole and switched the seatbelt bulb/socket into CEL. Read almost every page of the FSM-EC.

replaced front crank sensor and put ecu screw back to center position. still nothing. no spark, no codes, no CEL

condenser does have battery voltage. white wire on cam sensor plug only had .02V with key on. is this good? thought it should be 4.5V?

Check the fuses, both inside the car and outside in the engine compartment. I had a similar issue when a coil pack fried. Your missing the sensor's reference voltage. (4.5 or 5 volts) it should be present at almost every sensor as well as injectors and coils. Without that, nothing will fire.

all fuses checked. i get 5V at sensors. coils too are getting voltage. checked continuity from coils to ecu...all good. still not spark, no codes. no CEL. WTF!!!!!

found white wire and black wire in the crank sensor/injector subharness connector with insulation off. think they were shorting out. fixed them and still nothing. plugs were little fould but they are platnum. gonna try to change them just to see is if by chance this is it. im going crazy with this car.....need it up and running by xmas.

changed plugs still nothing. what circuit should I check to see if spark signal is being sent to coils by ecu> coils all check out good. checked ohms on terminal 3 of plugs back to ecu and all good. is it possible ecu is fried due to two wires in subharness shorting out and signal circuit is burned out? replace ecu?

well I now have my CEL working. The bulb I replaced was bad. I had codes that were stored from me playing under hood and cleared them after checking them out. Tried to start and now only have 2 codes. Flash codes 21 and 82. After decoding them I came up with P0100 and P0335. The MAF is new and so is the POS crank sensor. When tseting the POS with key on and back probing connector I have about 8V and while passing screwdriver across magnet there is no change. Im going to check MAF harness today and see about broken or stripped wire. what relation do they have with each other since engine did not start due to no spark?
