Is the speedo digital or cable driven?

I'm gonna be installing my intelliglow needles today, and I was wondering of the speedometer is cable driven or digital?

It's not digital, but it is electronic, not cable driven...

Ok, so I have to go through that turning slowly and gently pulling then, right? And does that mean I need to do the same on all the needles?

i think you just have to unplug all the cables in the back... they just clipped on, nothing special. Last time i check it was like that.

I dontt know the proper procedure, BUT alot of .org members have screwed up their gauges putting the needles in.

j_bryan sent it in to importintelligence (I think) to get it done ... you might consider this option.

This is a real easy thing to do, you just have to watch what your doing.
1. before you start read the directions, all the way to the end
2. make sure you mark your calibration points.
3. mark your calibration points
4. mark your calibration points (I said this 3 times because if you don't then your needles will be off. they will read that you are going 55 and your really going 83.)
5. before you finish everything, make sure there is enough clearance for the needles to turn. If you put them on too tight they will stick or not operate properly.

Thats it, those are the important things to remember.

BTW, I would suggest plugging them back in to your harnesses and give it a few revs, to make sure the needles move with out effort.
If anyone has problems with their install, you can email me for me phone number. I'll walk you through it on the phone.

I actually ended up calling import intelligence to make sure I took the needles off the right way (I didn't want to pry them off if I was supposed to turn them). So I used the turning method, got all my needles off without a problem (marked the calibration points). Used a hairdryer to help pull the white faces off the plastic housings for the individual guages, then put the intelliglow lights on, put the faces on over them (face only covers the wires, not the lights). Put everything back together and all is well.

I think the speedometer reeds about a mile an hour fast (or my tach is a tad slow), but it's nothing severe, and I can live with it.

no pics yet, but I'll post them when I get them.
