Removing Brown Dash trim

Hey everyone I picked up my "new" 5 Speed 4th Gen today & it comes with those ugly brown cover pieces over the trim like the ones in the link

I don't like it & would like to remove it so I was wondering can I just pull it off?

you can change them out, the one you showed is the actual woodgrain trim and you can find the black ones in the junk yard or from a member here that has them or you can sand those and paint them whatever color you want

Painting is probably going to be your cheapest option. I painted my original wood trim in satin black (that is fairly close to the OE trim color). I used krylon fusion with a good satin clear coat

false the one in OP's picture are not oem they are the stick on's. Trust me I have them in my car.

To the OP im in the process of taking them out. Once i'm done i plan on sanding and painting. There is a layer of glue that will be really annoying to get off so hopefully sanding will help.

I started, but its pretty cold out. I plan on finishing over the summer so the glue is a little softer and I might hit it with a heat gun.

True I just noticed that...I'll still try to show my actual interior. & thanks just have to find a junkyard with a 97 Maxima. I was trying to run away from painting them or sanding them now. I'll just replace them or trade them with a member in here.

Do you have any pics? I'm going towards trading or the junkyard right now
