Hood adjustment

Since I purchased my 4th gen a couple of weeks ago, I've noticed a rattle from the hood over bumps. I can visually see the hood jump a bit when closed. Anyone know if an adjustment can be made to help seat the hood tightly on the rubber stops? Maybe there is some rubber missing I'm not aware of...

How many rubber bumpers per fender are there supposed to be?

I just did a search for 98 maxima engine bay pics and found this:

looks like two adjusters in front, and two "guides" on the side.

I think my drivers fender bumper is cracked and has minimal integrity left. May pick up 2 new bumpers/guides and adjust the stops on the front. I'll report back if it solves the rattle.

I just fixed the same thing a week ago. There are three bolts (12mm, I think) holding the latch mechanism on near the top of the radiator. Loosen them and push the latch mechanism down a bit. That should solve the problem.

@Dbear, Thanks. Worked like a charm. Twisted up on the front stops as well and now the hood closes solid and tight.

Now I gotta get that damn clock to work. Oxidation or loose connector wire!?!? Oh...the little things.
