Say someone wanted to make their maxima a custom V8. They would have to pretty much change the whole engine around to do this, right ? Am I talking outta my @ss or is this possible ? (And NO not possible like Clee's RWD conversion
), I mean possible like as in worth the $.

I can't see this being at all worth the money. Too much work, too much everything. If you want a V8 car, buy a V8 car.Originally posted by Craig Mack

I do not want to do this, I am talking about someone like TurboMax,Martigrasmax, unclemax, and all them who fiddle around with their engines a whole lot.
I know whoever would do it would literally have the most unique Maxima.

I did it to my VE. Had to cut the castings and weld on the rear 1/3 of another block. Same with the crank. Used a Q45 ecu to control the ignition and used the intake manifold for the air. Stock TB was "okay" but I used a Q45 one later. It's single TB is big!
I ended up cracking the aluminum casing and throwing a rod. So I junked the motor and put another one in all stock.
I would have taken pics but you know how that goes.

Would taking the bigger TB off of a Q45 and adding it to our engines do anything usefull?Originally posted by Jeff92se

Becuase no matter how many times I wet sanded that b!tch it did not match up to the car...it looked REALLY good for being done by a newbie with primitive tools, but not good enough for MY vehicle. Originally posted by Jeff92se

It was a fun 5 hours stripping all the paint off it.
