Fuel and Temp gauge work randomly

Fuel and Temp gauge work randomly

hello have a 98 gxe and my fuel and temp gauges work when they want it started with the fuel gauge first and the temp shortly after speedometer and tach and odometer work just fine, also seems like the longer i drive they both start working any ideas??

Sounds like the contacts that plug into the rearr of the instrument panel have a loose connection and you may need to respring the contact to engage with more force!

tried that gauges act the same any other ideas?

ok drove car around and after 20min both gas and temp. reading normal what gives should i change temp sensor for gauge?? i am truely lost seems as after car is warmed up gauges are ok makes no sense

check you engine grounds.....remove them all and clean both wire terminal and engine component /frame....

update changed temp sensor for gauge no change if i hit the dash on the side near temp gauge it comes up near normal then goes back down and will do this while i drive so guess its gauges or ground? ..anymore ideas?
