Glued on vehicle speed sensor !

So I went to change my VSS & the fool who worked on my 5 speed before I got it GLUED on the whole thing on. It's about 30 degrees where I live daily so I don't want to drop the tranny but at the same time I don't wanna pay someone else to work on my baby. Do any of you have a suggestion on how I can take it out?

Wait til it gets warmer in a few weeks if you can, then you can get it out. Is it glue or some sort of silicone?

I want my odometer to be as accurate as possible though that's the thing....& I think it's glue....because I tried to reach in & i got the tab up a little bit...But I have a heat gun so I'm gonna try to use that & a paper towel role to keep some head on then try again with the flat head..if that doesn't work i'll try soaking it with adhesive remover

You do know that there is an O-ring on the sensor right? sometimes the o-ring gets sealed tight and you have to wiggle the tab while pulling up. Don't be too forceful though, I've personally seen them come apart on occasion.

Yeah I know, I was lurking in the how to section before I did it....I wiggled, twisted & turned *at least I thought I was* the sensor until I put a flashlight down in there & noticed that the movement was only working for the "top piece" where the sensor connects to. It eventually broke off...The tab that the screw is suppose to go through was turned to the left along with NO screw being in the hole....that's when I noticed that it was glued on & not just the O-ring...the struggle

best of luck dude, seems my suggestions were already taken. lol, id say drive it till its nice n warm so ur hands wont be too cold n there, and while still warm adhesive remover and do some wiggle, id hope that the hole where the screw's supposed to go hasnt been filled with the glue.
