ok so recently my maxima started running hott..well replaced the thermostat well gutted it cause mine wouldnt open...after that i noticed a leak but wasent coming from the theromstat..so i took off my alternator and a/c compressor the a/c compressor bracket noticed a small stream leak looks like to go in behind the water pump housing but hard to tell cause of the grim which i cleaned the best i could..was wondering if anyone know if a water pump was going out does it have a spot for it to leak out to alert you if it was bad or not cause its pissing me off just got it back running and then it blew a battery fuse and got hot and now this....let me know guys please

 

never mind i found out there is a spot to indicate it being bad..
