Just a quick question. And yes i have done searches... I have a pop charger on my Max, but i want to eliminate the black box (sorry dont know the name of it) that is located between the TB and the MAS. I have seen CAI packages that contain that peice. Just wondering if i can get it by itself.

Call up Place Racing, they'll know what you're talking about. It should be around $70.

I've heard great things about Place Racing's CAI!!

However, how does Cattman's CAI perform in comparison?

I second that ... when you have a chance, look at the number of air intake resonators on the VQ35 engine in a 2002 Altima.

Imagine using a pop-charger or CAI on that .... hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Craig loves his CAI, but there are other alternatives that are just as good (Modified Pop) :P I bought the pipe that goes between the MAF and Throttle body from Place Racing a week ago and it definitely made the sound better and may have helped power some.

You're increasing airflow by reducing restrictions, esecially eliminating resonators.

You're bound to get a hiss with a pop-charger ... or will you not?

Intakes are good, but if you really want a hiss get a Ypipe.

Stillen Y hiss starts @ 3.5Krpm, only way i could hear hiss on my intake is when I open the hood and almost put my ear on the POP, although when I press the gas pedal, the POP makes a ttssssswhoooshh sound, kinda kewl though

the cattman cai is the plane racing cai.........=) - if u want to get rid of the box........you have two options......get a pop charger - 70 bucks........or get a cold air intake -200 bucks......... the cold air intake costs more but it is a much better value
