my ecu screw keeps turning?

my engine check light came on last week, so i went to the link to see how i reset the light. but in the link it says to turn the screw clockwise until you feel it hits its stop, but it just keeps on turning. i must have turned it at least 10 times. is that normal? do i need to turn it more? if so how many times? plus my code is a 0505, but the light is still on?

Thats definitely not normal. Mine turns around 2 times or so. I guess as long as you can get the code its all right. Are you sure you had the screwdriver in the screw and not just rotating on top of it?

Me too. To resent you have to turn a "reasonable" amount of times. If you don't you'll notice that the car will stall upon start up although I don't know why.
