'96 Universal Catalytic Converter

'96 Universal Catalytic Converter

On a '96 should the O2 bung be facing the front of the car or the rear ( before the cat or after )? thanxs...david

The O2 bung/sensor is on the outlet end (towards the rear of the car), pointing towards the driver's side.

Thanxs, I figured the muffler shop should know, just wanted to be sure, $50. to cut out the existing straight pipe and weld in the universal cat with 02 bung ( to get rid of the cel & pass inspection ).

yeppers, since it measures the emissions coming out of the cat, throwing it in the front would do no good
