97 gxe power seat harness

Is it possible that my 97 gxe doesn't have a harness for the power seats?

There should be a ziptied plug under the seat.

Yes. My 98 GXE did not have a plug for power seats either. I ran power from the cig lighter in oder to power the seat. You would need to hook it up to battery power rather than switched if you want the seat to be able to move with out the key on.

The seatbelt harness on mine has an unused plug that I assume is the power seat.

All maximas were prewired so you can put power seats regardless of the model, there should be an opening on your carpet and the harness can be reached and pull out from there...

I had the carpet out of my car because I thought the same thing...but the plug was not there...believe me, I wanted it to be there so I would not have to run wires everywhere.

if u dont mind explaining can u tell me how u powered the seat from the cig lighter plug? I just picked up a 99GXE and I pulled the drivers seats out only to notice there was only a small plug for the seat*belt. I had a 98 se that I put leather seats and it was plug nd play for both sides! this GXE has nothing this sucks u found a sweet deal for $150 full black leather and I really dont wanna pass it up just bcuz I was an unlucky one without power harnesses please help!
