Just bought a black 98 GXE. Pics of altezzas look pretty hot, but I see from other posts that a lot of you think its a big no-no. Could someone please explain?

 

I think they look okay on black and white Maxima, but in general they really do not suite the car. Too big and too much chrome. For a black car, I suggest you get the black chrome ones.

But having altezzas for 6 months won't make you walk funny.

Can someone post some pics of altezzas on different colour cars, so we can see how bad they are, or are not...

very nice max slick......i have a black emerald (dark green)maxima...i'm gonna get the black altezzas after i get some $$$ - a black max wood look good with altezzas!

 

The 02 max comes with Altezza looking tail lights.

 

best thing about altezzas is that you can paint them (or use vinyl) tto make your car look like it has skyline-like tails

 

i got my altezzas right when they came out and I have a black 1997 SE. i think it looks really nice on black.

I don't like cause I think they look cheap and ugly as hell, but that's my opinion. It's your car do what you want.

They are ugly as hell. Even on an IS300. If I had an IS300, I'd remove the tail lights and paint them body color.

 

Some people wanting to pant them shows that they do not go with the style of the Max. Why buy something brand new and paint it?

The are dumb if that's the only mod on the car.

Any dumbass can install them.
But when it comes to real mods, the same person will say...

"I don't have tools"
"Cost too much"
"I don't know, do you think it will hurt my car?".
"Will it void my warranty?".
"I want to get a big spolier first."
"I want to get tire valve stem lights first"

 

I remember when Altezza's first came out people said, "No way, we don't want to look like Hondas"

these were the same people who had red and clear tails.... didn't they know that Honda's come stock with red and clear tails? haahhah

i dont think they look good because the round taillights make the max look too much like the impala's rear end

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not comparing the Skyline and Impala in any other way. Just the round lights.

If you like Altezza's get them. Ask yourself, does it really matter to you if a bunch of people, that you don't necessarily know, dislike them so much?

I think they look better on GXE or GLE because they have chrome door handles. Where can you get the black chrome ones?

 

i had them on a black max and i hated em
felt like an old cadilac or some crap
although someone has them on a fat white one and i think they look hot
i put the stocks bak on
until i can find black or carbon ones
and if i cant ill just get the red and whites

I personally wouldn't get altezzas but I don't see why everyone on the org hates them so much. I think they look good certain types of maximas.
