Exhaust

Hey wassup folks, quick question my exhaust finally gave out about 2 -3 months ago. I have a 99 SE with about 274k on still runs good, sounds like **** right now because of exhaust. Not trying to spend a whole lot of money on an exhaust just trying to keep car running and sounding good. What if any good direct fit exhaust for my 99 SE?

NAPA offers the Bosal direct replacement or you can also get a custom designed catback from Mandrel exhaust systems (MES)...for a really good price: http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...ima/Categories
Good luck I'm running thier tubing kit....I love it!

It's shifted to the right, hits a shield on certain bumps and is way off from the hanger on the corner. Had exchanged it, same fitment issue, so I just deal with it. Had to make an adaptor for the hanger.

What gains did you see with it, and did you get the 2.5 or 3.0 piping?

Not a whole lot of money, I was in the same situation when my muffler rusted off. I got a cheap ebay catback and I run it with the silencer, not a bad sound but it looks obnoxious. I plan to pipe up a real muffler when I have a little extra cash layin around. Ebay exhaust is prolly the cheapest way to get piping from cat to axle

Buy the cheapest one you can find. They're all the same.

The bosal b-pipe fit my 98 easily?

It's only the bosal muffler that gave me hell. I had to bend the rods to fit them into the rubber hangers. I also had to readjust the height of the catback to keep the muffler from banging it's shield.

I have a 2.5" and never dyno'd it but I would say at least 10 whp....Throttle response is more agressive in the mid range and top end....I love it....Very quiet at idle/cruise/WOT.....compared to previous install crimp bent 2.5" featuring a Flowmaster (Noisemaster).....Can't beat it for the $125 tubing kit cost along with the Magnaflow mufflers I sure the entire setup was just under $300....
