Throw in another RE4F04A VB. You could also try re-installing your OE VB gaskets and other junk you replaced.

Your RE4F04A-HD2 shift kit might have all the springs and ***** needed for the softer RE4F04A shift kit. Contact transgo for a definite answer.

I threw the RE4F04A in my VB last summer and am very pleased with the results. The first 3 shifts are faster but only slightly harder. It improved the acceleration enough for me. PM me if you'd like the RE4F04A install manual.

Have you checked out your Motor Mounts, some on the 5th gen forum were saying that was there problem, have the Kit also the HD2 and it shifts smooth as Butter. And it maybe the Transmission cooler if its keeping the fluid to cool and its not getting up to operating Temperature for the Tranny. What's the weather like in your Area...

Weather is pretty good here in TX. What brand of motor mounts are you talking about?

is with all the bumping?

Get poly mounts and that should improve it and make you feel more connected to the car as a driver.

Do you recommend replacing all the motor mounts or a specific one? Thanks.

You need MT mounts from ebay or amazon full set like $80-$100 and also get a set of mounts from knight_yyz for the trans and torque mount

now just to make sure those will fit the auto transmission? Now which mounts do these replace? The front mount or the either side mount. I'll be getting the nwp torque link brace also.

the mounts from energy suspension replace the mounts on the x member?

Ok bro here is what you should of been searching for
1. Es motor mounts are for mt mounts only
2. They are for the firewall side and rad side(cross member)
3. The inserts that knight sells are for the trans and passenger side mounts
4. You need to get Manual Mounts for all of these options cheap ones off ebay or amazon work fine.

Thanks, sorry for the dumb questions. I just want to be 100% sure. ok bear with me now, one more question. When i get the manuel mounts for all four, do I get the es mounts for all 4 mounts or just 2 of the mounts?

never mind, you answered my question! the es mounts are for the mounts on the cross member. and need to get the manuel mounts and the inserts from knight. And need to get the nwp torque link brace.

I purchased a tranny cooler along with the transgo RE4F04A SK but never installed the cooler. A tranny mechanic told me it might keep it from warming up enough.

You don't need the insert from Knight if you get the MT mount. You'll need the knight insert in order to use the ES insert in the AT mount.

So we don't screw you up any more than you are, ES makes inserts for the mounts.

The AT front metal mount/chassis is not the same as the MT front metal mount/chassis that house the ES insert.
