Is the coolant tube where the coolant temp sensor under high pressure?

I f*cked up royally when I installed my new one and broke it off in the block. Took a few hours to drill out the threads, even lost the probe within the system so it's gonna be swimming in there until it gets lodged somewhere in the block. Hopefully it won't make it to the waterpump.

I bored out the tube a little too much so now a few threads are holding the new temp sensor in place but I also added high temp sealant to keep it from leaking and to keep it from backing out.

Let me know what you guys think. I did drive the car to work and I'm constantly checking it to make sure it's not leaking.

Thanks.

It is under some pressure when running. Your sensor will go towards the radiator as the flow of coolant comes out the engine from top hose and goes back in from lower hose. I have seen people purchase the pipe from dealership but can't remember how much they spent.

Ok thanks.

Some pressure is ok. High pressure has me thinking how long will it take before my mistake becomes a problem. It's doing great right now though.

That tube is a pricey part. List price $176, discounters $133. Sounds like a junkyard run. 95 thru 98 are the same, 99 was different. However, the current part number (the one below) is for all 4th gen.

11060-31U0B outlet-water
11062-31U00 gasket-water outlet (need 2)

Found one for 20 bucks on Ebay. I wouldn't spend that much money for a part that does nothing but hold sensors and allow coolant to flow thru it.
