Hard start issues plus it will not start if it is in gear.

1996 Maxima 5 speed manual.
As posted in the title I have a problem when starting the car. Does not matter if the engine is cold or hot.
I have changed the crankshaft positioning sensor under the pulley with a new one, because it would not start at all before.
I had the code on the scanner saying that it was busted.

The weird thing is ; when the car is in gear it will not start as much as I crank it.
Put it in neutral it starts but not quick.
I have the EGR code popping up also so it might have some issues there with the hard start but I have no clue why it will not start when it is in gear .
Did anybody with a manual had this problem or have any ideas?

BTW where can I find the second crankshaft positioning sensor near the trany, or better yet do manuals have that sensor?

I have a 4 months old ECTS so it is not that, one sensor has been changed. I have the grounding kit put on the car so I hope it's not an electrical issue.

Any help diagnosing this issue is greatly appreciated.

I don't know manuals, but I thought they should NEVER start if they're in gear ?

It can be started in manual but is NOT suggested. Did you try to push start it?

If you press the clutch it makes no difference if it is or not in gear for manual cars.
This started after I had the issue with the crankshaft positioning sensor.

After some searching I found out that if the clutch is a bit too far gone or the master cylinder is not working properly the clutch does not completely disengage and might cause that issue with the car not starting.
A thing to think about. Will keep you guys updated.
If anybody has other suggestions ideas please do not be shy
