Problem starting
ive search around but can find a definite answer. Last night i tried to set up a keyless entry remote, ended up not working. The red security light stayed on which i found weird cuz it never stays solid. went home car started fine. on my way home randomly my radio turned off on its on. This morning I went to turn the car on and it was rough but it started. the power in the car was slightly different the wipers seemed slow the lights in the car seemed dimmer than usual. so i parked and went to check fuses everything was fine, i go to drive off and the car didn't start. kinda like a dead battery.. i tries to crank on but it dies out after like 2 cranks. got someone to give me a jump and it started almost automatically. i went to buy a new battery. turned off the car and everything. installed new one turned on beautifully, all lights bright radio works good. went to the mall parked for like 2 hours. i get back home turn off the car, i decided to check if itll turn on just to reassure myself. and then boom, nothing same as before...alternator? starter? idk...ive had 0503 code for like 3 days now...o2 sensor? could this affect it?

its very easy to check if its the alternator before you go out and buy one.. start the car, or jump the car if you have to, and disconnect your battery while its running. if the car dies as soon as you disconnect your battery, then yes your alternator is shot. if the car keeps running, then you have something else going on. probably a short somewhere, or something draining the battery.
easy way to see if thats the case is to throw a voltmeter on the terminal while the car is off and see if there is something drawing power. there will always be a very small draw of power, which im sure someone can tell you what it should be, but if your battery keeps dying, then you would have something noticeable showing up on the meter.
if this just started, and you just screwed around with some wires, then i strongly suggest you go back and look carefully at everything you touched.

Plus when the car is running, battery is useless anyways.

i had actually left the negative terminal loose by accident and it popped out and car died almost instantly, anyways i changed it and my baby running good again no starting problems...but god damn was that last bolt in the back of it a pain in the *** lol i also removed the fans and moved the A/C compressor out of the way it helped a lot by doing that for the last bolt
