TCS OFF / SLIP lights on

Hi guys im new to the forum so first of all, Hi to everybody
Second sorry for the mistake english is not my language
Now the problem, I bought a 99 maxima ES , maybe in the u.s. you dont have this version but in canada yes its like the gxe but with fog and the spoiler maybe some other things i dont know..
So the lights of the slip and tcs are always on, do we have a sensor or something that make this light always stay on ?

Thanks

Thread moved. Please learn to post in the proper forum, as your question is not "Garage and Workshop" related...Thanks.

Traction control is off.
This can also be caused if a wheel speed sensor goes bad. Is the ABS light on? Also check to make sure the ABS light bulb works, it should come on when you turn the key to the on position.

The line in the fuse will be broke. Kinda like when a light bulb goes out.

I am having this same problem as of today both traction control/slip light and also ABS lights are on, checked all the fuses they seem to be good. is it a bad speed sensor? if so how would i go about fixing this? inspection due in less than 6 days..

98maxwell, search the forum for the procedure to pull the abs codes. It will tell you which sensor is bad.

Are the lights always on and stay on? Or do they ever go off? If you turn the car on and the lights are on, can you turn it off and back on to have the lights go off? Or, do they never go off?

If it's intermittent and the lights go off when you restart the car, believe it or not something like a misfiring coil can cause the problem. But then you would have a CEL w/ a misfire code. Otherwise, it's 99% an electrical issue such as a fuse/relay/solenoid. If you have just the TCS and SLIP lights without the ABS light, that means something is wrong w/ electrical and may not have anything to do with the TCS at all. If you ALSO have the ABS light on PLUS the TCS and SLIP then you're likely having a problem with a bad part (electrical most likely, but physical is possible) in the TCS/ABS system.

Try having your codes pulled, there's almost always a CEL when the system throws the TCS/SLIP lights on.

No problem your problem look some like mine , I found no fuse for the Tcs but only for the abs but my abs light its not On like the Tcs. Actually i have the CEL on with a misfire code but i didnt write the code so i have to chek it again to search and find whats the problem. Sometime my car at idle run to 2000rpm without touching the gas and after a minute everyrhing come back to normal, some mystery with this car lool

So your problem is a misfire?

my car does the 2000rpm thing too but only when its cold out then slowly crawls back down to normal idle at normal operating temperature. I thought it was quite odd too when I first got the car aha. anyway just checked my codes only had one pending for crankshaft position sensors and just replaced them almost 2 weeks ago so I just cleared that code. So I am guessing my problem lies somewhere with the ABS/TCS sensors. I am puzzled with how to diagnose the problem on grounding pin #4.

To be at 2000rpm when its cold outside and for the cold start its normal , what is not normal is when your car stay at 1500rpm (cold start) for about 30sec and then go up to 2000rpm im always like wtf!?
