picked up an air intake temp sensor at a yard today

Without a multimeter,.how can I tell if I got pooched (self edit from expletive) $20? Not sure if the one I bought is good or bad. Thought VW was overboard with sensors. This car had proven me wrong. It's a 96, AT, with 207i.e. It's the one that goes into the side of the airbox and bolts outside of it.

For $20 you can buy a brand new one. Working or not working, i still think it was a bad deal.

Why are you afraid to say Amazon on here?
Is there a rule I'm unaware of, or do you play crossword puzzles all day long?

No, some forums ban advertising like that and didn't want to get into trouble

Unless it throws a CEL, its fine. The sensor does nothing anyway.

Will have to check. That dash light doesn't work. Disconnected the battery, the old one threw a code. The fact it ran fine cold and stalled warm made me think it was that part.

95-96 have 2 bolts that holds it to the air box.
97-99 have a rubber grommet that holds it to the snorkle.
