Heated Seat Switch Removal

The switch for the passenger seat doesn't stay in the high position. It pops back to off. Low works though. I think I need to replace it. Anyone take out this switch before? What's the trick?

Just take out hte cup holder unit and you'll have access underneth that whole middle console. Just reach your arm in and push it up.

Before you buy a new switch do this: remove the current switch by wrapping a small flat headed screwdriver w/ electrical tape, then gently wedge the screwdriver under the switches edge - twist the screwdriver to pry up the switch. It is just held by tension tabs on the sides. Disconnect the wire harness and remove the switch. Once the switch is out you should be able to open the switch up (you'll probably have to pry some clips to get it to open - just be careful, it'll be fine) Clean the switch out and check for clearance problems. My switch had Coke/Beer dried in it. Once I cleaned it up, no problems. Hope this helps. Your girlfriend will love you for warming her buns up.
